Original Victorian Mourning apron in black silk with purple piping. Half mourning. The back of the apron is strengthened with a loose weave gauze. The apronhad a black button on each side at the waist, presumably to attach to a belt or dress. For it's age the conditions ok. the silk has started to shatter in a few places, there are a couple of holes in the supporting gauze, and the lace crochet trim is also showing some wear. see photos.
