These boots are faithful historical replicas, NOT phantasy or LARP style shoes, although you can wear them to such events of course. Such heel patches were sewn on with invisible blind stitch from the 10th Century onwards, and looked exactly like these heels which are invisibly glued on to keep them affordable.
