A beautiful original Victorian hat in black silk. Artfully folded silk to produce ruffles and rosette flowers over. Wire is threaded through the brim allowing shaping and long silk chiffon falls from the back to secure under the chin. The style needs to be secured further with a hat pin ( or grips). The style allows to fit one size. Overall very good condition for its age. There is some minor crushing and mishape to the hat and the ties are fragile and torn in places.
