An 1770s style silk gown and petticoat. The gown is made from a striped silk taffeta with embroidered flowers and is decorated with gold lace. The bodice fastens at the front with concealed hooks and eyes behind the bows, and is lined with linen. The petticoat is made from a matching gold-coloured silk which is lined with linen. The gown measures bust 36in, waist 30in, waist to floor 44in. The first two pictures are the best colour representation. The gown has been worn twice.
